The UN Principles for Responsible Investment
An investor initiative in partnership with UNEP FI and the UN Global Compact
The UN Principles for Responsible Investment (the PRI) are defined as a set of global best-practices designed to help investment managers act in the best long-term interests of their clients.
In April 2010, ValueInvest Asset Management S.A. became a signatory to the PRI, which is a collaboration of professional investors with a view to promoting the principles of the PRI. This means that in the future, ValueInvest Asset Management S.A. will incorporate social responsibility in investment processes and exert positive influence on companies with ethical problems in cooperation with other investors.
In our investment approach, ValueInvest Asset Management S.A. –
- aims to pursue a "responsible investment policy" and thus in practice to live up to societal expectations that can and will be made of an investment manager who manages funds on behalf of others,
- refrains from participating in campaigns, but addresses any issues in the management of client portfolios to achieve a positive impact, and
- believes that the best investments are achieved when considerations and decisions of business managers reflect a commercial and economically sound approach.
